E.C Santo André is one team of the city called Santo André on the state of São Paulo, Brazil.Santo André (team) was born in 1967 in September 18 , so now it has 44 years. Its stadium is the Bruno José Daniel (Capacity: 18,000).
Now things about his history and curiosities:
-The first official match of the club took on April 8 , 1969 at Américo Guazzelli stadium on a friendly match with Santos. Santo André won 2-1 !
- Santo André greatest rival is São Caetano , the other big team of ABC region.
- Santo André was funded by people that wanted to have a team in their city representing the professional football of the Municipality.
- In 1984 Santo André was invited to play in serie A based on their State Championship performance.
Titles:
-Serie A2 of Paulista Championship. 3 times. (1975, 1981, 2008)
-Brazil Cup-One time (2004)
Now Santo André is not so good as before , it is on Serie A2 of paulista and in the serie C of Brazilian Championship. But even in a bad phase I will continue loving this fantastic team !
